Privacy Policy
Imagine Ink Bot · Effective 14 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Imagine Ink Bot (“the App”) accesses, uses, stores and shares data, including data obtained through Google APIs. The App is operated by the owner of the YouTube channel The Imagine Ink (“we”, “us”).
1. Who uses the App
The App is a private tool with a single user: the channel owner. It is not available to the public, and no one else can sign in to it.
2. Data the App accesses
When the channel owner signs in with Google, the App requests one OAuth scope:
| Scope | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload | To upload videos that the App generates to the channel owner's own YouTube channel, with a title, description and tags. |
The App does not request access to, and does not read: the user's email, contacts, Gmail, Drive files, YouTube watch history, comments, subscriber lists, analytics, or any data about viewers or other YouTube users.
3. Data the App collects and stores
- OAuth credentials: a client ID, client secret and refresh token, which let the App upload on the owner's behalf. These are stored only as encrypted secrets in the owner's private automation environment (GitHub Actions) and are never written to logs or code.
- Upload records: the ID and upload time of each video the App itself published, kept so it doesn't post the same quote twice.
The App collects no other personal data. It uses no cookies, analytics or tracking, and this website collects no data from visitors.
4. How data is used
The data above is used solely to publish the channel's own videos to the channel owner's YouTube channel. It is not used for advertising, profiling, machine-learning training or any other purpose.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, trade or share any data with third parties. Data is transmitted only to Google (YouTube) when uploading a video, as required to provide the App's single function.
6. Google API Services User Data Policy
Imagine Ink Bot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Retention and deletion
Credentials are kept only while the App is in use. The owner can delete them at any time by removing the stored secrets, and can revoke the App's access instantly at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Videos uploaded to YouTube are managed in YouTube Studio and can be deleted there.
8. Security
Credentials are encrypted at rest by the hosting provider, transmitted only over HTTPS, and accessible only to the channel owner.
9. Children
The App is not directed at children and does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
